1. What are the largest non-European ethnic groups we find in the UK today?
- Indian people
2. Why did these people come to the UK in the first place?
- Because India was a British colony
3. What is the situation like for young people belonging to these minorities in Britain today?
- They have a lower middle age than the white English people.
4. Do you know any famous British people with an Asian, African or African-Caribbean ethnic background? Who is he/she? Why is he/she famous?
- J.R.R. Tolkien is a British writer, he was born in south-Africa. He is famous for the books “The lord of the rings” and “The hobbit”
5. What does Brick lane, the Notting Hill Carnival and Brixton have to do with ethnic diversity in Britain
- Brick lane is a street in London with many non-European ethnic people
- Notting Hill Carnival is carnival with mostly non-European ethnic people and the leaders are from Caribbean.
- Brixton is a place in London with many Jamaicans.
